It’s 9:00 a.m on October the 9th and the temperature is 71 degrees with 58% humidity. It is October, right?
Hurricane Nate has left a very warm, humid airmass in its wake and that is going to stick around through tomorrow. We won’t see any rain today, unless a stray shower pops up at some point, but it will be rather cloudy. Highs will reach into the upper 70s/lower 80s and it will be very sticky feeling outside. A storm system will take shape to our west tonight and that will send a warm front up and over us in the morning. That front will likely kick off some more showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Later in the day a cold front will then swing through, bringing more showers and storms. It’s not out of the question that some of those storms reach severe limits, so I’ll have to keep an eye on that.
After the front swings through we’ll see better weather by Wednesday afternoon. Unfortunately, this front doesn’t have any fall-like weather behind it, so the warm weather will continue right on through the weekend. Highs each day will be in the 70s to near 80s with lows in the mid to upper 50s. A cold front may move in here by the end of the weekend and drop temps back down, but it’s too early to tell by how much.
This system that will be moving in tomorrow is out west right now. Denver had highs in the 70s on Sunday with partly cloudy skies. This morning they’re waking up to several inches of snow and it’s still coming down! But, that’s rather typical Denver weather. If you think our weather is crazy here, you should try living around Denver!
You all have a great day and enjoy all these warm temps. I’m sure we’ll be missing them sooner or later….
Below are some scenes from the Denver area this morning.
Caution: These pics may make you want snow… 😉
