We’re currently seeing a line of storms across West TN, as well as numerous showers across Middle TN. A warm front is currently just to our south. As that front pushes northward and gets even closer, showers and t-showers will become more widespread. Later on this evening a cold front will then move through, bringing even more showers and storms. Widespread severe weather is not expected. The bottom line is that it’s going to be a rainy day. Temps will be very warm, as they climb into the middle 70s.
We should start to see skies clearing out by Wednesday afternoon as drier air moves in. The front that we’ll see move through late this evening isn’t much of a cold front. Highs each day this week will climb into the mid to upper 70s. We should stay dry, though we can’t rule out an isolated shower both Friday and Saturday. It’s practically a summer forecast in the middle of October. On Sunday we’ll see another front slide through and it will drop our temps back to normal.
All in all, we should be very thankful for our weather. Although it is cloudy and droopy outside, we ought to thank our stars above that we have this and not what others have to deal with today. Don’t forget that there are still people recovering in Texas, Florida, Puerto Rico, and various other islands from the hurricanes. We have folks in Montana who have lost their whole ranches to fire and drought, but that news headline was buried with the hurricane disasters. Now, we have a disaster that is still evolving in California with wildfires. Our hearts go out to all those who are dealing with these disasters.
And now for some happier news! I’d like to introduce you to my newest little cousin, Dylan Cade Allred (7 lbs, 2 oz). He arrived yesterday evening and he, mom, and dad are all doing great. For those of you who may know my family, this is Ben and TJ Allred’s first baby. He is also the grandson to David and Glenda Garrett and the first grandchild for Lonnie and Sharon Allred, and great grandson to Guy and Jane Baldwin. He is blessed with lots of grandparents and lots of cousins! Now, I just have to figure out how to turn him into a lil meteorologist 🙂
