A flash flood watch has been issued for all of Middle Tennessee, including the Cumberland Plateau, beginning Friday afternoon and ending Saturday morning. Be aware of this if you plan on being out and about during this time. And never, ever, ever drive across a flooded road. It’s better to be late than never. Don’t go and get yourself drowned this close to Christmas! It’d be like in that song where poor ole grandma got ran over by the reindeer and the family didn’t know whether or not to open the presents or send them back. Just turn around!
But seriously, just turn around. As far as timing, I think the heaviest rain will hold off until Friday night for us, with the greatest threat of flooding between midnight and Saturday morning.
