It looks like the cold front is between Crossville and Nashville right now. Nashville has winds out of the north gusting to 21 mph, with 41 degrees (and slowly falling). We’re still 48 with south winds. We should still be on track for rain to start mixing with snow by 6:00-7:00 p.m. and switching to all snow by 9:00 p.m.
As far as accumulations go, I’m going to stick with my original forecast of 1/2-1″ of snow. There could be isolated amounts that get a bit above 1″, especially in Fentress County.
One thing to keep in mind is that all this water that is on the roads will freeze tonight, especially with temps getting down to near 20 degrees. Be careful getting out and about tomorrow morning.
Remember, a winter weather advisory is in effect for tonight for all of the Cumberland Plateau. The advisory also includes East TN for areas along and north of I-40.
You all be safe and enjoy the snow!
