A stray strong storm this evening? A more widespread threat on Monday

This is the severe weather outlook for Monday. As you can see, the Storm Prediction Center now includes portions of our area in the slight risk for severe weather. There are discussions of upgrading portions of this threat to a higher level of risk, to account for the possibility of tornadoes, especially across southern Middle TN and northern Alabama.

I need to also mention that although it looks beautiful outside, be mindful of any storms that pop up this evening. They could become a bit strong, with hail being the primary threat. These storms will be very isolated and mainly to our east.

Sunday continues to look really nice, but that will certainly be the calm before Monday’s storms. And yes, we still have a decent chance for snow showers Tuesday night.

I’ll have more updates later this evening.
