So far today, we’ve been very lucky by not having storms. The worst of the storms have stayed to our west and there are numerous reports of wind damage. The map below shows those as blue dots. You can see how those storms arched from southeast Missouri and down toward Huntsville, Alabama.
We currently just have some isolated showers and storms around. Anything that has developed or that does develop will move southeast. I don’t think we’ll have any problems this evening.
Tonight’s weather will depend on yet another in a series of complexes of storms that is dropping into Illinois right now. Let’s hope and pray this thing falls apart before getting here (ha). It’s not that it’s that severe, but some of us can’t sleep if it’s lightning outside. It’d be nice to either get to bed before 2:00 a.m. OR not have to roll out of bed at 2:00 a.m. because of storms. Ma Nature needs to get back on her meds! (ha)
Seriously though, I’ll be keeping an eye on everything and I’ll do a full blog update at meteorologistmark.com along with a full FB update a bit later on this evening (probably around 8:00 p.m. or so).
You all have a great evening.
