This afternoon, the Storm Prediction Center upgraded all of Middle TN to the enhanced risk for severe storms. That risk is level 3 out of 5. This morning we were only in the slight risk. The Cumberland Plateau is just outside this greatest risk but we are way too close for comfort. The concern for this severe weather situation has been growing for the past several days and it continues to grow today. Please stay weather aware on Friday, especially as we go into the evening hours. All modes of severe weather are possible, including isolated tornadoes. A widespread damaging wind threat may develop with a squall line that will be pushing through during the evening. Therefore, you need to prepare for possible power outages. I’ll keep watching it.
