The 10:00 a.m. tropical update just came out and it’s interesting. First of all, we now have Leslie out in the open Atlantic. She is not expected to be a threat to the U.S.
We still have Kirk and he is one to keep an eye on as he tracks westward. His winds are just at tropical storm strength, coming in at 40mph.
There is some good news. The disturbance moving toward the Carolinas (remnants of Florence) is expected to encounter an atmosphere that will become quite hostile for tropical storms near the coast in about 4 or 5 days. This should weaken the disturbance and move it out to sea. In the meantime, the disturbance could become another tropical storm within the next three days, before things become hostile near the coast.
“Eleven” has dissipated and should be on no concern.
I’ll be watching the tropics closely and keeping you posted. You all have a great Sunday.
