Just as I published that blog post, the Storm Prediction Center issued a special weather statement for portions of Louisiana, Mississippi, and West Tennessee. They are saying that they will likely issue tornado watches for that area after 5:00 p.m. They had this to say, ” SUMMARY…Storms are expected to increase in coverage mainly after 5:00 p.m. across northern Louisiana and eastern Arkansas, and will gain strength as they develop eastward into northern Mississippi and Tennessee during the evening. Damaging winds and tornadoes will be possible.”
