There have been reports of freezing drizzle around the plateau this evening. The NWS Nashville just issued a special weather statement advising of some black ice possible across the plateau tonight and in the morning. Black ice is ice that is too thin to clearly see on the road. The road just appears a bit shiny when it’s actually coated in very dangerous, slick ice. Just watch for patches of that in the morning and be safe if you’re out driving.
Also, dress WARM for tomorrow. Highs will likely stay in the upper 20s. Tuesday night will be our coldest night so far this season, with lows dipping to around 15 degrees. Check on people, pets, and pipes. Our normal high this time of year is 58, which means we will be about 30 degrees below normal on Tuesday!
