Light snow continues to develop across the plateau this evening. I now have a decent dusting of snow at my house and a temp of 32 degrees. Many other folks are now seeing some light snow, per reports on my Facebook page.
I don’t think we’ll see all that much snow tonight but it could certainly be enough to cause some slick spots in the morning. Although we are not under a winter weather advisory, I would go ahead and assume we are. The NWS Nashville tends to not issue these until the roads are already slick.
For the rest of the night, look for flurries and light snow to continue, with accumulations of a dusting to one inch possible. Be careful if you’re out driving tonight or Monday morning, esp on those bridges and overpasses.
We start warming up after tomorrow and, believe it or not, we could be talking about a chance for thunderstorms by Friday.
I’ll have a full blog update in the morning, including a look back on this weekend’s storm and some interesting meteorology and weather forecasting that took place with this very complex system.
Have a great evening!
