The line is getting closer but it’s losing its punch. There are currently NO warnings in TN. Could this change? Of course. So don’t let your guard down completely. The Storm Prediction Center does NOT plan on extending the tornado watch to the plateau. That is also good news. This line has had a history of wind damage but the radar is looking better now than it did when that was occurring. These showers ahead of the line may help us out, too, as they stabilize the atmosphere a bit. Be mindful of flash flooding, as our ground is so saturated. This line will give us enough rain to close out 2018 as the wettest year on record for the Cumberland Plateau! The main line should be to the plateau between 4:30 and 5:30.
