The high temperature here at weatherTAP has been 78.2, recorded at 2:51 p.m. This is just shy of that first 80-degree day we could have had. The clouds moved in and thickened up just enough to spare us our first 80-degree day.
Meanwhile, a historical blizzard is raging across the Midwest. Wind gusts to 70 mph and 1-3 feet of snow has fallen. Trees and powerlines are down all over the place. Travel is impossible in many locations. I have never seen so much lightning with snow (thundersnow) as I have on the radar today. This is a very impressive storm!
Our breezy winds are blowing straight into that blizzard. Those winds may gust to 30-40 mph overnight. We could also see some t-storms later but they shouldn’t get too rowdy. I’ll be watching it, though.
You all have a great evening!
