While we deal with scattered showers today, folks to our southwest are dealing with some really rough weather. We will track that activity as it moves closer to our area very late tonight/Sunday morning. The map below is weatherTAP’s new RadarLab National.
As of now, I think we’re on track to deal with storms around here by about 3:00 a.m. or so. You may want to go to bed early this evening and be ready to get up very early in the morning to deal with these storms. The NWS Nashville thinks we will be dealing with these storms between 4-8:00 a.m. and that is probably very accurate. You may want to set an alarm to wake you up, or make sure your weather radio is working.
Go ahead and figure out where you and your family will go if a warning is issued. Prepare now and practice in the light, before it gets dark. Check your batteries. Are you ready for a power outage? Is your cell phone charged? Do you have batteries for your weather radio? Use the daylight hours of today to prepare, just in case you get a bad storm in your neighborhood late tonight.
I’ll keep you all posted as we go along. I’ll update again later this evening.
You all have a good afternoon!
