Evening storm update

Storms remain below severe limits this evening, thank goodness. Still, some heavy downpours can be found across the plateau. Notice how that one storm west of Cookeville fired up right along our disturbance sliding in. That disturbance is represented by that brown dashed line. This just emphasizes the importance of having updated surface front positions added to our new RadarLab product. One might think that the threat had ended with the storms to the east. Knowing where the surface front is, however, would allow a forecaster to know the rain threat was still not over. Pretty cool stuff, right?

You all have a great evening!
