The radar is dotted with showers and storms and that should continue through the rest of the day. Some of us will get more rain, others of us won’t.
I wanted to update you all on the Thursday storm threat. You may have noticed in this morning’s blog that I highlighted Thursday for a storm threat. The Storm Prediction Center has updated the convective outlook for tomorrow and they now highlight everyone west of the plateau in a slight risk for severe wx for Wednesday night into Thursday morning. That activity will work its way eastward as Thursday goes along. I wouldn’t be surprised to see us added to the slight risk for Thursday. I’ll keep you posted and try to get more specific with the timing of our threat. Notice that all modes of severe weather are possible, including an isolated tornado. Hopefully these storms will move in during the first half of the day Thursday, when the atmosphere tends to be more stable.
