The Storm Prediction Center (SPC) just issued a discussion for our area. They basically stated that a gradual weakening trend has been noted on radar with the storms moving our way from Nashville. Never the less, individual cells continue to pulse up, becoming briefly severe. Gusty winds, possibly damaging, are the main threat.
They basically reiterated what I discussed in the last post, that merging (crowded) cells are robbing each other of energy. This is also making the tornado threat quite low.
The severe t-storm watch remains in effect.
