If you’re headed out for lunch everything looks fine right now, but that can change in a hurry with this kind of airmass in place. There are some showers popping up out there, but they’re pretty isolated. Again, that coverage can change fast.
I also wanted to share with you a rainfall map put out by the NWS Nashville just a few minutes ago. This map shows rainfall over the past two weeks. Those purple colors are over 10 inches! Notice on the plateau how northern Fentress county and Picket County have had twice the rain that many of us here in Cumberland County have had. Yet, there are some isolated spots in Cumberland County that have had 5+ inches of rain over the past couple weeks. Contrast that with the dark green areas that have had around an inch of rain….for the past two weeks! It’s funny how some can keep getting drenched this time of year, while others wonder where their rain is.
