Last post before storms arrive

We’re down to the final minutes to get ready, folks. The good news is that this line is moving rather quickly. The bad news is that both our straight-line wind threat and tornado threat have both risen. The Storm Prediction Center has now upgraded all of us to an enhanced risk for severe weather.

Be ready for power outages. Some of these winds have been up to 80 mph.

Just be ready and that will lead to less stress. Keep your shoes on. Have the flashlight handy. Take care of your pets, esp the ones outside.

Storms are approaching the plateau and should be hitting the western end of the plateau by 9:00, making their east through the evening. They should get to Crossville by 9:30-10:00. I’d be ready by 9:00 if you live in Putnam, Overton or Pickett counties.

Stay safe, you all.

I’ll be here until I can give the all clear.
