A new tropical storm has formed

The National Hurricane Center has determined that the winds with Tropical Depression 5 have now reached tropical storm strength. The system should slowly strengthen over the coming days and is expected to be a hurricane by the time it enters the Caribbean Sea on Tuesday.

Below is the path of Dorian.

I have circled Dorian on the image below.

The system off the east coast of Florida should be the next named storm. It had looked like it would beat Dorian at getting named, but such is not the case. Look for Erin to be named within the next 24 hours.
