The National Hurricane Center has just updated the latest info on Dorian and it’s not good. The latest guidance shows the storm hitting Puerto Rico as a hurricane, but instead of moving over the bigger part of the island and weakening, it may just deal them a glancing blow. This means that Dorian would be a stronger storm in the Bahamas.
The official forecast has been adjusted and now shows Dorian being a tropical storm in the Bahamas and not just a depression. To make matters more concerning, long range forecast models show an environment favorable for further intensification as the storm makes its way to the Bahamas.
This is definitely one to watch.
