Some of us are hearing some thunder this evening. This is from a storm making its way up the western edge of the plateau. As you can see from radar, it’s moving north and will miss a great many of us in Cumberland and Fentress Counties. However, those of you in Monterey and eastern Overton County may get some rain from this.
We also have an interesting evening update from the National Hurricane Center. Remember that tropical moisture I mentioned in the morning blog that may bring us some rain next week? Well, now the hurricane center has increased its chances of developing in the Gulf this weekend. The chance of development has risen from 20% to 40%. Regardless of development, it still looks like it will bring a better chance of rain for all of us early next week. It’s worth watching.
Plus, we have those two other areas out in the Atlantic to watch. Tis the season!
