A lone storm and a tropical update

We have one lone storm on the whole Cumberland Plateau and it’s right near you all in Fairfield. It is drifting southwest, toward Crossville, so you all in town may get some rain from this if it holds together. There’s been some lightning strikes and I’ve been seeing those flashes.

This is nothing severe and isn’t expected to become severe. This comes on the heels of another storm that fired off over Pomona and Taylors Chapel earlier. It has since collapsed and dissipated.

Also, the Hurricane Hunters are still out investigating the system in the Bahamas. It is expected to become a tropical storm and move into east central Florida this weekend. Unfortunately, this system is threatening Grand Bahama Island too, which is the LAST thing that place needs right now.

  1. Hearing distant thunder here in Dorton. Had a very small shower, but grass is still crunchy😜
