Heaviest frost of the season possible tonight

With clear skies and calm winds, we could have our heaviest frost yet tonight. I just noticed that the dewpoint is all the way down to 24 degrees. That means our air is very, very dry and will lose heat very quickly as soon as the sun goes down. If you have anything that is frost sensitive that is still outside, you may want to bring that inside tonight.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see colder spots drop to the upper 20s tonight.

After tonight, there will be no worries of frost for at least a week.

I also noticed that extended outlooks are calling for a very cold Halloween. Keep that in mind as you choose costumes for the kids! I hear Bigfoot costumes are nice and cozy (HA!).
