A cloudy night for a meteor shower

This was a satellite image taken just before darkness fell. This is visible satellite imagery. It shows the look of the clouds as the sun shines on them. As you can see, we have much cloudiness in place and more to come. This means that viewing any meteor shower or storm tonight will be practically impossible.

I’ve had several folks ask me why I hadn’t broadcast this meteor storm. For at least the past week, all guidance has pointed to cloudy skies. It stinks but what can ya do? (ha)

I looked up the next chance for meteor storm and it’s nearly impossible to predict them. Whenever they are possible, we’re usually given very short notice of it. Still, I’ll keep an eye out for any more possibilities!

You all have a great evening!
