Severe threat has passed

Storms are now moving off the plateau and the severe weather threat for the plateau has ended. That means all of us can take a deep breath. It got loud there for a while! I picked up an inch of rain from the storms here at my house and will likely pick up another half inch or so before it all moves out.

All we’re left with now is rain and some lightning and thunder.

Let’s keep all those to our south close to our hearts. A lot of folks are picking up the pieces of their houses and will have much to pick up in the days and months to come. Louisiana and Mississippi were hit pretty hard.

Below is the current radar. Notice we still have plenty of rain to fall.

We still have plenty of rain showers left to come. In fact, those showers will be with us right on into tomorrow, when they’ll end as some flurries.

Tuesday will be remarkably different that today! Highs will be in the 30s, after the lower 60s we had today.

You all have a good evening!
