I just noticed something that I wanted to pass along to you all. The lightning activity with our line has dropped off signifcantly in the past half hour. That could mean a weakening trend. I’ve also noticed that tornado warnings have been few and far between for the past several hours. As I’ve said before, IF we get any tornadoes they will be brief and short-lived. The greatest danger is from damaging straight-line winds.
I just thought I’d pass that along. Notice on the imagery below how lightning drops off. The white dots are the most recent strikes. Notice how they trail off.
This does NOT mean we can let our guard down, I just wanted to give ya some good news that we can relax a little bit. Those storms in Mississippi may steal a lot of our energy (I’ve talked about that before, you know?).
