The potential for light snow Saturday morning is increasing. It looks like a decent batch of moisture will develop to our south later tonight and move northeast. The better part of it will stay south and east of us, but we should get clipped by it enough to see some light snow fall. Right now, I’m thinking that accumulation will stay under one half inch. The wintry threat should end by noon.
Ground temperatures will be colder too, especially since we didn’t get above freezing today.
I’m not sure a winter weather advisory will be issued, but I’ll let you know if it does. That decision always resides with the NWS office in Nashville.
All in all, this is not looking like a high impact event, but if you have to travel in the morning just give yourself some extra time, just in case you need it.
I’ll update about this again later this evening, so stay tuned for that!
