Storms are developing across parts of Middle TN and some of those have been on the strong side. Thankfully, none of those storms have reached severe limits. That could change, though, as we go through the rest of the afternoon. Showers and storms are moving northeast. The strongest activity is west of Nashville at this time.
The primary threat will be hail with these storms, though we do have an environment that could support a weak tornado or two if we obtain enough instability. We’ve seen a few peaks of sun, but that has still only lead to a meager rise in temperature. That could bode well for us as we go through the rest of the day.
Thus far, the Storm Prediction Center has not issued a watch for us. They could at some point, so stay tuned for that. If issued, that would likely be a severe t-storm watch for the risk of large hail and damaging straight-line winds.
My level of concern remains unchanged. I’ll update again, as needed.
