WHAT: Strong to severe storms with hail and gusty winds. An isolated tornado is possible.
WHEN: Threat window open until 6:00 pm.
Storms continue to develop across parts of Middle TN. Some of them have become quite strong but all have remained below severe limits. The Storm Prediction Center is monitoring these storms and will issue a severe t-storm watch if they feel that is necessary. Hail and straight-line winds continue to be the main threat.
I’m watching some storms just west of the plateau right now. They are moving northeast. These have been known to produce gusty winds and small hail. They could become severe as they cross the plateau. Just be weather-aware and keep those weather radios on.
Since we’ve had very limited sunshine, and temps have risen so meagerly, I’m lowing my concern level just a bit. I’m now on the low end of medium.
