Any storm that develops over the next week, especially in the afternoons and evenings, will be capable of producing gusty winds, heavy rainfall, and deadly cloud-to-ground lightning. Any storm could also become briefly severe, with a damaging wind gust the main threat.

Records

On this day in 1882 an unusually late snowstorm blanketed eastern Iowa with up to half a foot of snow. For perspective, today they are in the 70s and will be in the lower to mid 80s tomorrow.
