WHAT: Strong to severe storms
WHEN: 3:00 am -7:00 am
I wanted to give you all a quick update on tonight’s storm potential. The greatest threat continues to look to be north of Interstate 40. The time for that threat looks to be the very early morning hours of Sunday. All modes of severe wx are possible, including an isolated tornado. However, the greatest risk will come from damaging straight-line winds.
The Storm Prediction Center upgraded areas of Overton, Fentress, Morgan and Scott Counties to the slight risk for severe weather because of this complex of storms. The rest of us are in the marginal risk for severe storms.
If you know anyone camping at any of our area lakes be sure they know about this storm threat. That is especially true if anyone is camping at Dale Hollow Lake.
Make sure your weather radios are on tonight, just in case they are needed.
I’ll give another update later this evening and update you all on timing, etc.
