We have a cluster of strong storms that have developed this afternoon, stretching from White County through Cumberland County. Some small hail, torrential rainfall, and gusty winds are possible with this activity. I’m seeing lots of lightning strikes, as well.
A flood advisory has just been issued for areas affected by these storms.
We are in the marginal risk for severe storms today, so this could go severe. A damaging wind gust would be the main threat.
Here is a look at the current radar. Activity has developed rapidly over the past half hour and is currently focused on the south side of Cumberland County. Remember, if you’re close to hear thunder you’re close enough to be struck by lightning.
