You all remember how excited I was when astronauts launched from American soil for the first time since the space shuttle program? Well, it’s time for Behnken and Hurley to come back home! They’ve spent two months on the International Space Station (ISS) and it’s already time for them to test the return home procedures on the first commercially built spacecraft for astronauts. What an exciting time!
NASA will begin live coverage at 4:15 pm today, as they begin to separate from the ISS. Splashdown will take place Sunday afternoon in the Gulf of Mexico at approximately 1:42 CDT. Watch it all right here at this link! https://www.nasa.gov/nasalive Coverage will be continuous on NASA TV from 4:15 today through splashdown tomorrow. No complaining that there’s nothing on tv tonight! ha
