High Winds Expected Tonight (Sat., Nov. 14)

The National Weather Service has issued a WIND ADVISORY for tonight and much of Sunday. The advisory expires Sunday afternoon at 3:00 pm.

Winds could gust as high as 45 mph. Prepare for some sporadic power outages. Also, if you have any sort of holiday decorations outside make sure they are securely in place. Any loose outdoor furniture, etc. should also be secured or brought indoors.

The winds are due to a strong cold front blowing through. That front will bring falling temperatures by Sunday afternoon, falling into the low to mid 40s by sunset. Sunday night lows will drop into the lower 30s.

Severe thunderstorms are not expected with this front, though we will likely see showers and even some thundershowers. Just be ready for some very gusty winds!
