 Weather Shots

Southern California is under the threat of wildfires again today. This is a picture from the Bond Fire from last night. The fire is being driven by strong Santa Ana winds across a very dry landscape. This fire is east of Irvine and has already charred 3,600 acres. The fire continues to spread. Aircraft have been grounded because of winds. The fire is currently at 0% containment.

NASA Nerdology

Did you know the Hubble Space Telescope needed glasses? A tiny manufacturing error caused it to have blurry vision. On this day in 1993, astronauts launched on a mission (STS-61) to install corrective instruments for the primary mirror. Check out galaxy M100 before and after the repair!

  1. What happened to your VLOG?

    1. It will be back soon, Michael. I have had terrible sinus issues and had to suspend that for a bit. I should be back and at it by Friday’s blog. Thanks for asking!
