The Storm Prediction Center has issued a tornado watch for southern Middle Tennessee until 1:00 am. That watch is shown by the highlighted counties in red on the map below. Notice how much warmer they are. Temps in southern Middle TN are in the mid to upper 60s, while we are in the mid to upper 50s on the plateau.
These storms are expected to weaken as they approach our area this evening. While this watch is in effect until 1:00 am., the storms should move through here by 10:00. A damaging wind gust remains the main threat.
Current radar shows storms west of Nashville, moving east. At least one storm is severe.
