I just wanted to give you a quick update and let you know that a band of snow is moving onto the plateau at this hour. The impacts will be minimal, but the cold air coming in later this evening will be very noticeable. Later tonight, temps will drop to 15 – 20 degrees.
Also, be aware that several locations around the plateau and to our west are reporting extremely dense fogs. Make sure you drive with low beam headlights on. I’ve noticed the fog increasing here in northern Cumberland County over the past hour or so.
If you’re out and about this afternoon just be aware that this area of light snow is coming. This will be the last appreciable precip with this winter storm. Flurries will likely linger through the night and into the morning. Accumulation of snowfall with this line should stay under an inch. The snow is moving east.

The fifth rover to land on Mars will be landing at 2:55 CDT. Watch live on https://www.nasa.gov/content/live-landing-of-the-mars-2020-perseverance-rover! A historical day in space exploration, for sure!
