The storms that had the potential to be severe have moved on to the east now and we can all get some rest. The severe thunderstorm watch for Cumberland and White counties has now been cancelled early.
Look for rain and thunder to continue for several more hours but the severe threat has now passed for everyone in White, Putnam, Overton, Fentress, and Cumberland Counties.
There continues to be the risk for flooding tonight, so if you live in a flood-prone area be aware of that.
Also, be careful if you’re out and about in the morning, as many roads are flooded and/or washed out. Don’t drive across flooded roads.
