Thankfully, the storms in West TN are weakening and I really don’t see them being a problem for us tonight. A special discussion was just issued by the Storm Prediction Center for those storms, stating that they are beginning a weakening trend.
Those storms packed a punch out there, especially with hail. A storm just south of West TN, near Tupelo, Mississippi, dropped 2.5 inch diameter hail on those folks earlier.
We can still expect showers and storms for Saturday and some of those could be strong or even severe. I’ll keep an eye on it. We are highlighted in the marginal risk for severe storms for Saturday. I’ll let you know if that changes.
I still think our best chance for a stronger storm will be Saturday afternoon and into the early evening hours.
It also looks like Saturday will be a windy day, with some gusts over 25 mph.
You all take care and have a good night!
