Meteorologist Mark’s Wx Discussion
Well, the good news is that this cooler pattern prevents any severe weather threats. Many of you will welcome that news. The bad news is that you’ll be scrambling to protect the plants Wednesday and Thursday nights. Widespread frost is likely each of those nights. I wouldn’t be surprised to see some upper 20s by Thursday morning.
I will say that I can’t find any signs of severe weather through the end of April. That’s true for us and much of the country. This cool pattern is keeping a lot of folks safe the rest of this month.

She’s gonna fly! NASA has stated that, “The test flight will see the helicopter, which weighs in at around four pounds, attempt to fly about 9 feet high, remain in one place for around 30 seconds and then return to the surface of Mars.”
Keep in mind that the Wright Brothers’ first flight only lasted 12 seconds, as they rose to a height of 120 feet. A piece of their plane is on this mini chopper. (I’m not sure why this isn’t called a drone? lol)
This will be the first flight of an aircraft on another planet in which we take off and land on the planetary body. The Moon missions landed on the Moon and then took off but they never took off from and then landed again on the Moon.
We wish Ingenuity all the very best and we hope the chopper enjoys the historic flight!
