The severe thunderstorm warning just issued is for a storm over Fairfield and Crab Orchard. Quarter sized hail and very gusty winds are likely with the storm. It is moving east toward Knoxville. There are no indications of rotation at this time.
Other storms are firing off across this part of Middle Tn and most of the storms are not severe. The Storm Prediction Center has stated that they do NOT expect to issue any watches for our area over the next few hours, which is a good sign.
Other storms will move in from the west later on this morning and they could pack a punch. That will be a line of storms that is currently just west of Memphis, so they are several hours away.
