The Storm Prediction Center just issued a special discussion concerning our area (see map below) and they have stated that they do NOT expect to issue any watches for our area. These afternoon clouds and showers have helped stabilize our atmosphere. Regardless, some of the storms this afternoon could be on the strong side, possibly briefly severe.

The current radar shows some strong storms to our northwest. Those are moving eastward. A southward development to this line is possible over the next couple of hours. Gusty winds, heavy rainfall, and some small hail are possible with these storms. I highlighted Cumberland County.

The cold front is approaching the Mississippi River right now. It will continue to move east and should move through by midnight. That will usher in a cooler airmass that will be with us for much of the week.
I’ll keep an eye on things!
Today’s cold front may be blowin’ in cooler temps, but the real-estate market will still be HOT! Wanting to buy or sell? Give Meteorologist Mark a call/text today at 931-248-1476!
