Exciting News to Share!

I wanted to share something with you all that is very, very exciting for me! For several years, I’ve wanted to write some short stories that were basically letters to my grade school teachers. I decided to start with Kindergarten. I soon realized that was a taller order than I had imagined, so it took longer than I imagined it would.

Last week, I finally finished the final revision for the first letter! I submitted it for publishing and it now shows on Amazon for Kindle! It’s called A Letter to My Kindergarten Teacher and it can be found at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B095MVS3TN/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=A+Letter+to+My+Kindergarten+Teacher&qid=1621803853&s=digital-text&sr=1-3.

If you don’t have a Kindle device, you can still read the story by downloading the free Kindle app. Many of you may already have that app. If you choose to read the story, which I certainly hope you do, I ask that you please leave a review. I sure would appreciate that!

In the coming months, I will be publishing more letters. In other words, this will be a series. Those are already well in the works! The next one will be a letter to my first grade teacher. In my opinion, they get better as I increase in grade, so stay tuned for those!

My favorite genre has always been “coming-of-age” type material, with much inspiration from The Catcher in the Rye. It’s so cool to finally be contributing to that genre with my own material.

So, I hope you’ll come along for the literary ride! You’ll find out more about the childhood experiences and adventures that led to the Meteorologist Mark you all have come to know! 🙂

“What really knocks me out is a book that, when you’re all done reading it, you wish the author that wrote it was a terrific friend of yours and you could call him up on the phone whenever you felt like it. That doesn’t happen much, though,” J.D. Salinger, The Catcher in the Rye.

  1. Way to go, Mark! It’s an amazing feeling, seeing your first literary effort in print. Congratulations! And if you need/want a cheerleader along your way as you continue with the rest of your letters, let me know.

  2. I purchased your book and it brought back memories of my kindergarten days and the ones involving my son and daughter. Very interesting little book.
I would recommend it to anyone who had a kindergarten teacher.

    1. Thank you, Sondra. I’m glad you enjoyed it!
