I’ve been watching storms in the Midwest and they have been slow to develop. That is good news for us! This means that by the time they move our way (if they hold together) it will be daylight Saturday morning. Daylight storms are always better than middle of the night storms.
A special discussion was just issued for parts of eastern Missouri and southern Illinois. A severe thunderstorm watch is about to be issued soon there. Those storms will likely be affecting parts of our area Saturday morning.
Tomorrow is looking like a stormy day across the plateau. Some of the storms could be on the strong side, so be aware of that if you have outdoor plans. Always, always, always be careful around lightning. If you can hear it thunder, you’re close enough to be struck.
You all have a good night! I’ll have a full blog update in the morning.
