Wednesday Evening Storm Update

If you’ve glanced at the radar lately, you’ve seen why I’m sending this out. A complex of strong thunderstorms is marching across Middle Tennessee. This is the complex that I’ve been telling you about. These storms are strong but they are not severe. Still, very gusty winds are possible, lots of lightning, and very heavy rainfall. Flood advisories have been issued for several areas within this complex.

This is all steadily moving toward the plateau and should arrive within the next hour or so. It certainly possible that these storms will weaken as they move onto the plateau.

Pictured below is the current radar, with the border of Cumberland County highlighted. The leading edge of the precip is moving into western Putnam County.
