Nicholas became a hurricane just before making landfall yesterday evening along the Texas coastline. That storm will continue to bring heavy rainfall and gusty winds to the coasts of both Texas and Louisiana for the next few days, as it slowly moves eastward.

Other areas of the tropics remain active. The closest area is the orange-shaded area, which looks like may stay just offshore. The red-shaded area will be tracked, as it makes its way across the Atlantic.

Today’s Tennessee Weather

Tuesday will bring warm and humid conditions to the state. That heat and humidity will lead to some showers and thunderstorms, mainly in the afternoon. Rain chances are highest in the west (40%) and lowest in the east (20%).

Moisture from the remnants of Tropical Storm Nicholas will combine with a weak front to bring scattered showers and thunderstorms to the state on Wednesday, especially in the afternoon.
