The Storm Prediction Center has just issued a tornado watch for everyone south of Cumberland and White counties until 10:00 pm. This watch includes Pikeville and Fall Creek Falls. Storms are moving north today, so we’ll all have to keep an eye on storms this evening. Those of you in the southern half of Cumberland County would be the most at risk for a severe storm.
On the weatherTAP map below, the counties in the tornado watch are shaded in yellow. Nashville, Cookeville, Sparta and Crossville are NOT in the watch, but we’re just north of it. Storms will be moving north, so we’ll all have to keep an eye on those storms. Keep in mind that we’re still under a flash flood watch too.
