MM’s Wx Concerns

Widespread hazardous weather is not expected this weekend, or even into next week. However, be careful driving at night, as patchy dense fog is expected to develop.

Today’s Stats

Almanac for Yesterday

On This Day in Wx History

1980- A unusually warm spell sees temperatures climb to 91 at Nashville, 83 at Crossville — the highest temperatures ever observed on this date at either location.

Yesterday’s National Temperature Extremes

High:  103° at Rio Grande Village, Texas

Low:   10° at Choteau, Montana

Tropics

The area of low pressure off the Carolina coast looks much more organized this morning. It now has a 40% chance for developing into a tropical depression or tropical storm today or tonight. By Sunday, upper level winds will increase and the system will fall apart. Regardless of development, the system will bring heavy downpours and gusty winds to the Outer Banks this weekend.

I had some great questions and an audience that seemed to be captivated. I surely hope they were! haha I hope to be invited back again someday. Thank you, Uplands!
