Storms Approach (7:00 a.m. Update)

The storms are finally moving across the plateau this morning. So far, they seem to be behaving themselves. Let’s hope that stays true. Any storm is capable of becoming severe, with damaging winds or even an isolated tornado. A tornado watch remains in effect.

Gusty southerly winds are really kicking up now, too. Those could lead to sporadic power outages.

I highlighted Cumberland County on the radar image below. Fentress County is covered in heavy rain. Our severe weather threat doesn’t subside until this line pushes through. That should happen within the next hour. I’ll give the All Clear when I can.
